…the weather was superb. It was also a generous harvest, and the fabulous weather in September and October (which saved 2007 and made 2008 the excellent, underrated year it has become) was again the dominant factor in 2009

…when the wines are tasted, the sweetness of the tannins is very apparent.
Moreover, the overall style of this vintage is one of opulent, voluptuous textures with abundant fatness and succulence.

I am very pessimistic that we’re going to see reasonable prices for the top 2009s.
Nevertheless, there will still be plenty of fairly priced wines to buy if you are buying to drink rather than speculate.

En 2009, comme le dit le célèbre critique américain Robert Parker (voir article ci-dessus en anglais) nous aurons effectivement des vins mythiques confirmant la qualité fabuleuse de ce millésime et plus particulièrement en Graves et Médoc.

Malheureusement ce millésime d’anthologie se paye au prix fort, en raison de la forte demande asiatique et même américaine.

Aussi pour satisfaire toutes les bourses, nous avons sélectionné, pour vous, les vins qui s’offrent encore à un budget raisonnable (avec un excellent rapport qualité-prix) et les stars du millésime, qui s’arrachent à prix d’or.
